The SDLRLA Scholarship Fund law student scholarships are awarded to full-time law students in their second and third year of law school and part-time students who have completed a sufficient number of units equivalent to the first year of law school. Recipients are not limited to persons of a Latino/Latina background, instead, the scholarships are awarded to law students from a variety of backgrounds who have contributed to the betterment of the Latino community and demonstrated potential to succeed. The scholarships typically range from $1,000 to $5,000. Recipients are honored each year at the SDLRLA Annual Awards Dinner and Gala. Since 2007, the Scholarship Fund has proudly awarded almost $600,000 to exceptional and dynamic law students.

ELIGIBILITY: Scholarship applicants must have ties to San Diego or Imperial Counties and must be enrolled in a J.D. program at an ABA accredited law school, or at a law school accredited by the California State Bar Committee of Bar Examiners in the County of San Diego. Incoming first-year law students are not eligible. Please refer to the OTHER REQUIREMENTS section at the end of the application for further details.
